Opening Scriptures:

Galatians 5:1 — Christ sets us free; stand firm and do not return to bondage.

Acts 26:18 — Jesus opens eyes, turns people from darkness to light, and brings forgiveness through faith.

John 8:31–32 — Abiding in Jesus’ Word leads to truth, and the truth brings freedom.

1. The Law Reveals Our Need for Freedom

Romans 3:19–20 

• The law reveals sin and shows that no one is justified by works of the law.

Isaiah 1:8 

• Jerusalem is pictured as exposed and vulnerable, illustrating the devastation caused by sin.

2. God Provides Righteousness Through Faith in Christ

Romans 3:21–22 

• God’s righteousness comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.

Romans 3:23–24 

• Everyone has sinned, but believers are justified freely by God’s grace through Christ.

Romans 3:25–26 

• Christ’s blood demonstrates God’s justice and provides atonement for those who have faith in Jesus.

Practical Application: Rejecting the Lies of the Enemy

1. When the enemy says, “You are condemned,”

     • The Spirit of life in Christ sets believers free from sin and death.
